BMW R80 SEG Special
A special version of the popular 800cc machine to meet the needs of London Metropolitan Police's Special Escort Group.
The differences were mainly cosmetic, due to the legshields and no fairing or panniers to keep them narrow.
Due to their registrations, this batch were affectionately called the SEG bikes.
The pictures show the Special Escort Group (SEG) precision team performing at an open day in June 1989. They are riding on their BMW R80s SEG's before they were replaced with the BMW K100 'MUC' machines.
